Swedish pop star Tove Styrke was raised in the Swedish city of Umeå and grew up “banging on the piano and singing around the house all the time” until hearing the music of Björk at age ten changed her life.
She began her career on Sweden’s version of Pop Idol and her self-titled effort went platinum in Sweden and earned a nomination at the Swedish Grammy Awards – but it wasn’t until 2015’s follow-up Kiddo that Tove established her identity with the record hailed as a “feminist pop triumph” by Time magazine.
Sway is her third full length album and she describes it as a collection of love stories looking at the good and the bad of being in love; the romance and the anti-romance. The album’s release comes after a long world tour with Lorde which featured the pair duetting on Robyn’s iconic song “Hang With Me”.
For this episode of Talk The Line, we’re talking about personality and here is a link to the personality test Tove mentions in conversation.
